PeakProtect device transfer
RELEASED IN V1.3 Operating large on-sales with long queues? Users queuing to get access to tickets can now easily transfer their position in the queue to another device.
Solution
PeakProtect (PKP) now includes a Device Transfer feature in the waiting page that allows users to transfer their queue position to another device, e.g., if they need to switch to their phones and continue queueing on the move.
Getting Started
Shop Configuration
The Device Transfer feature must be enabled at the queue level. You can request a service ticket if you are not the administrator of the queue. It is activated on the Setup tab under the Waiting Page options.
The Device Transfer feature is only available on the new Waiting Page (V4) and once the queue is formed, i.e., it is not available in the waiting room phase of the Fair Queue.
The Transfer session button is displayed at the bottom of the waiting page.
When a user clicks the Transfer Session button, a pop-up displays the QR-code and link, allowing them to transfer the queue position to another device. The QR-code can be scanned with a phone, or the link can be copied to be sent to another device, to open the waiting page on the new device.
The user can maintain its position on several devices but this does not grant multiple access to the shop. Only the first device to enter the shop will be granted access.
